‘TIS THE SEASON
WE’D LIKE TO WISH YOU A SAFE AND HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON AND A PEACEFUL AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!
November was a great month here at La Jarra Ranch! We had many reasons to be thankful and are looking forward to all that December has to bring.
La Jarra Ranch enjoyed the week at the annual RGV Birding Festival in Harlingen, TX. People from around the country visited the festival and stopped by the LRSL booth to say hello.
Veterans Day Tribute
La Jarra Ranch Senior Living was honored to host our first Veterans Day Tribute on November 11 at our Activity & Health Center. Over 30 veterans from the community joined us for a free breakfast followed by a wonderful ceremony in which the veterans were recognized and awarded certificates of appreciation by La Jarra managers. It was a great morning of celebration and remembrance for all those who have served our beautiful country.
Residents, clients, employees and owners of La Jarra Ranch Senior Living gathered on November 15 for a delicious luncheon cooked by the LJRSL dietary staff and served by LJRSL Managers. It was a wonderful meal enjoyed by all.
A few of La Jarra Ranch employees attended this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's at H.E.B Park in Edinburg, TX. It was a great experience and focused on a very important cause, ending the Alzheimer's disease. People from all over the valley attended the walk to support the cause.
Winter Texan Breakfast
Wednesday morning La Jarra Ranch Senior Living helped sponsor the Winter Texan Welcome Breakfast hosted by the Raymondville Chamber of Commerce, the Mayor of Raymondville, and the Raymondville Golf Course. It was a nice morning celebrating the arrival of all of our friends from up north who call this area home for the winter.
The annual Downtown Raymondville Christmas Tree Lighting was held on Thursday at 6pm at the Pocket Park. The small park was crowded with members of the community who showed up to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season. LJRSL handed out cookies to those enjoying the festivities and had a great time sharing the moment with all of Raymondville.
Our Caregiver's Day Off Program is a great way for caregivers to get a break from the every day duties they may have. Taking care of loved ones is a demanding job, and it can take time out of our day that we would normally spend getting other things done. La Jarra Activity & Health Center's C.D.O. Program allows caregivers to drop off their loved ones while they run errands or get some Christmas shopping done, and have the comfort of knowing they are being taken care of. Program clients receive all the same services and amenities as the regular Activity Center clients, except for transportation. Please call for more details and pricing.
